Hi, I’m Dan Haneveer, a daydreamer, adventurer and…. well there is an endless supply of umbrellas I could put myself under. I like to stand under my own though, and unfortunately I don’t have a name for it. My peeps are that niche of travelers who for now call themselves things like, digital nomads, location independent, lifestyle designers, portable professionals, etc. We are a new breed and still finding our feet and creating our own definitions.

I’m 25 and I currently work in IT Support, I make a small side income from running a few websites and freelancing. In 2008 I traveled to South East Asia and more recently I returned to Cambodia for a short trip which turned out to be somewhat of research trip into living internationally. While my Wanderlust was strong before taking off overseas the result of going has honestly changed my life, I now live and breathe travel more than anything previously. Later this year I’ll be heading back to South East Asia, it will be my last return trip the following flight will be the start of my international living adventures.

Traveling has shown me the value of life, through the experiences and people I have met, to the ones I didn’t meet or who live their lives in poverty because of the greed and hunger for power of others. My perspective on life, happiness and our priorites in Western life have been changed forever. I hope for the better. With these lessons and the rest to come I hope I can share with you a somewhat more personal and journalistic account of living, working, exploring, traveling and generally enjoying everything this wonderful world has to offer.

This blog is my voyage and guide out of the normal life society says we should aspire to into the one that I actually care about. I say screw the naysayers, let’s do this.
