On my trip to Cambodia a few months ago I was sitting in Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport waiting for my my flight to board, Emirates MEL to SIN. At a nearby gate was JetStar MEL to SIN, the low cost carrier (LCC) of choice for this route and the packed gate was a testament to that. Yes! Don't for a minute reconsider traveling because you are worried it is not safe. Unless you are planning a trip to Iraq, Afghanistan or North Korea you'll be just as safe as you are at home in most cases. The media likes to  depict a world descending into chaos, in fact it always has and people have always said that the moral fabric of society is deteriorating. Out in the world though you find that most people are going about their daily lives  and trying to be good people while doing so, just like you.
